So the building wasn't actually burning down, just the 2nd floor neighbours put a comforter in the washing machine in the basement. This comforter being too big for the washing machine burned out the motor, and caused the fire alarm to go off. The fire alarm was really really loud, though Gayle claimed not to be able to hear it from her room. Comforting that... Also the fire department took FOREVER to arrive. Long enough for the building to have burned down, if it had actually been on fire.

Mind you, when the alarm went off I was IN THE SHOWER!! Timing is everything hua?

Raoul is clingy but ok. The mice are FLIPPING OUT. And Nebula has gone to DEFCON 1.

And someone is peeing off the porch again tonight....
